<reviewbody>After hearing some weaker performances (fronting for Allmans, etc.), this concert "feels" and sounds like Weir and crew are back in the saddle. Tight, energized, good balance, nice lineup, cool solos (I do not mind the Jerry-like riffs now and then!).

Bottom line: This is a very good concert. I gave 4 stars only because of the thin "bottom" (bass), but that is not the tapers fault as much as the limits of the mike, placement of speakers, venue, etc. If this was a soundboard, I'd include it with the Top 10 (recent) performances since Skin Pool Lounge.

Nice job with the sound, great concert. I'm grateful to the taper and I am enjoying this show as I ride up and down I-81 in Virginia, albeit with the bass turned way up.</reviewbody>

No, it was the tapers fault. No question.

<reviewbody>The show was good, even though i got in during "going down the road feeling bad". the recording was not that good or maybe my expectations were to high because i saw it live. the energy for the crowd always adds to the enjoyment of a show. highlight of the show: Quinn the Eskimo</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>this was my first ratdog show, so i dont know much about the prior years but i've caught all the northeastern ones since and this was the best one of them all. so jammin, so much energy in the band and the crowd it was ridiculous. and about the live recording, thanks to the recorder, but the bottom bass that everyone was talking about was definitely just in the recording. the ballroom was THUMPING that night. book of rules was earth shattering</reviewbody>
